FAQS

  • TEAO is the Trauma and Embodiment Association of Ontario. We are a non-profit organization aiming to make a change in the mental healthcare system by working from the cracks of the mental healthcare system and advocating for systemic change.

  • We are currently working towards a membership program (stay tuned!), but you can email nicole@teaocanada.com to connect on how you can be a part of TEAO!

  • Although we are physically present in Ontario, we can connect with you digitally from wherever you are!

  • We’d love to keep in touch too! We’re currently on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Check out our profiles at the links below!

  • There are no prerequisites for our Embodiment Training workshop! We welcome anyone or group interested in learning more about what it’s like to do trauma-informed work and how it intersects with an embodiment. Visit this link for more information on our training and how you can register.

  • That’s okay! We do offer individual trauma consulting services and embodied coaching. You can read more about our individual and group services at this link.

  • That’s what we’re here for! We’ve compiled a list of peer-to-peer (consumer/survivor) programs in Ontario which offer peer-to-peer services that are community based and delivered by those who self-identify with the peer group they are supporting. Visit this link to see what organisations could be a good fit for you. If you can’t find a service or organisation that best suits what you’re looking for, feel free to email us directly at nicole@teaocanada.com or any of our social media profiles and we can help you find exactly what you need!

  • We have a collection of mental health and wellness resources that are aligned with TEAO’s mission and values for individuals and leaders. This includes a Peer-Led Service Directory with organizations in Ontario which offer peer-to-peer (consumer/survivor) programs. If you cannot find a service or program that’s right for you, reach out to us and we can help! Visit our resources tab at this link.

  • There are many ways you can support and be a part of TEAO. You can volunteer, sponsor or attend any of our community events throughout the year .

Don’t miss out on our first Official Launch Event happening this August 24, 2022! We are also accepting donations online at this link. We are so grateful for your support and look forward to sharing our progress with you!
